Re: How function TIMTP decides the Time Type?

Hi Mohinder,

The time type is 0330 and processing type is P because of the configuration maintained in Table V_T555Z.

Let me explain you the functionality and working of TIMTP with table V_T555Z.

Every time pair has a pair type and time id. Pair type determines from where the time data is coming from. Below are the possible pair types:

  • 0   - Unaccounted planned working time. Let us say that the employee is not in office (clocked out) during the planned working time for 30 min and there is no attendance captured in IT2002. In such a scenario, there will be a time pair with pair type 0 and processing type K.
  • 1   - It implies that this data has come from IT2011 (Time Events Infotype)
  • 2   - It implies that this data has come from IT2001 (Absences Infotype)
  • 3   - It implies that this data has come from IT2002 (Attendances Infotype)

Based on the pair type and time id of the time pair, the function TIMTP refers to table V_T555Z to determine the processing type and time type.

In your case, the pair type and time id of the time pair are 3 and 01 respectively. If time id is 01, it means that the work has been done outside planned working hours.

Let us refer your screenshot of Table V_T555Z. Look for time id 01 and pair type 3 in the table V_T555Z.

You will notice that for pair type 3 and time id 01, you have defined processing type as P and time type as 0330. Hence, the output is coming like that.

Kindly change the processing type in pair type 3 from P to M and then run time evaluation. The processing type in output will change to M.

I hope this information is helpful for you and resolves your query.

Thanks and regards,

Vivek Barnwal
